


MALAYSIAN UAE AND NZ BUSINESS COUNCILS INK COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT AND INVITE ALL MALAYSIAN BUSINESS COUNCILS WORLDWIDE TO JOIN IN.

The kick-off meeting between New Zealand Malaysia Business Association (NZMBA) and Malaysian Business Council (MBC), United Arab Emirates (UAE) aims to increase the New Zealand (NZ) and UAE business world's understanding of the Malaysian business efforts to enhance Malaysian economic participation activities worldwide. This cooperative agreement involves exchange of high value strategic networking, technologies, and knowledge sharing. This collaboration invites all Malaysian Business Councils worldwide to join and seize this opportunity.
The NZMBC-MBCUAE economic cooperation initiatives started with promotion of halal products, shariah finance and infrastructure projects in NZ. The NZ and UAE team was led by Dave Ananth, Founder and President of NZMBA and Fahmy Ansara, Chairman of MBC, UAE respectively.
Participants of the kick off meeting comprised of council excos that are business owners and professionals of diverse backgrounds, which include logistics, legal, trading, finance and oil and gas.
The meeting focused on collaboration on NZ halal certification for meat and dairy commodities for Malaysia and Middle East market, and infrastructure projects involving the government and private sector in New Zealand. The two parties also discussed deliverables and preparations for the World Expo 2020 which will be held in Dubai, UAE from October 2021- March 2022.
The team also discussed plans to hold a hybrid UAE-NZ Business exhibition 2022/2023 to coincide with the Fieldays Expo, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event for cutting edge technology and innovation which takes place annually for the last 30 years.
The two parties emphasized the importance of economic partnership investment promotion between Malaysia, NZ and UAE markets, people-to-people contact, and the plan to establish a bilateral High-Level Strategic business mechanism via MBC and NZMBA.
