About Mr. Abdul Mukti Abu Bakar.

Abdul Mukti Bin Abu Bakar was appointed the Director / Consul Investment, Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), (Consulate General Of Malaysia – Investment Section), Dubai UAE on 18th December 2017 with his primary responsibilities to promote investment in manufacturing and services sectors from Middle East Countries and North Africa (MENA) into Malaysia.

His career path in MIDA began in 1995, when he joined as an Economist. Throughout his years in MIDA, he has served in various manufacturing and services Divisions such as Textiles and Miscellaneous Division, Industry Support Division, Business & Other Services Division and Regional Establishment & Supply Chain Management Division.

Abdul Mukti was posted to MIDA State Office and served as the Director of MIDA Kedah and Perlis from 2009 to 2012 and from 2014 to 2017, whereby his responsibility was to promote the investment into the States and to facilitate / handhold the local as well as foreign investors in its project’s implementation. Upon his return to MIDA headquarters, he was served Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) Division, overseeing the promotion of global FDI into Malaysia.

Abd Mukti graduated from the Northern University of Malaysia with a Bachelor Degree (honored) in Economics.
